Bad Seed Cider Wedding, Highland, NY. Sara and Mike are from Northern New Jersey but on a excursion to the Hudson Valley they happened upon the orchard at Bad Seed Cider in Highland, NY. Sara, who works in the specialty food industry decided then that the cidery would make the perfect venue for their wedding. This was my first time shooting at Bad Seed Cider though I had visited prior to sample their product just 40 minutes from my home. Bad Seed Cider provides a wonderful, intimate, picturesque country location for a wedding. On one side is the orchard and on the other a vineyard affording many lovely photographic locations. I highly recommend this location to anyone wanting an authentic Hudson Valley wedding.
Exploring the bounty of the Hudson Valley and photographing are two of my most favorite passions and Sara and Mike’s wedding was the perfect day to experience both. Add the perfect fall weather, warm and very funny guests (actually, the most overall funniest guests I have ever encountered at a wedding) and you have two core ingredients for the perfect fall wedding. To top it off, Hudson Valley Sausage Company was the caterer and their Texas style BBQ, the perfect complement to a Bad Seed Cider wedding. The perogies served during cocktail hour were a big hit and a nod to Sara’s polish heritage. Add to all this perfection two truly kind and fun people who are tying the knot and you there is no doubt you have the perfect Hudson Valley wedding. Wait! Just when you thought it could not get any better, did I mention that Sara and Mike are also high school sweethearts? Sheez!!
