Nicole and Nikhil’s Dutchess Manor Wedding, in Beacon NY.
Every wedding I shoot affects me.Most often the emotions I experienced throughout a wedding day flood me as I am driving away. In the case of Nicole and Nikhil’s Dutchess Manor Wedding in Beacon, NY, this Ghandi quote kept repeating in my head, “be the change you want to see in the world”. After spending the day with Nicole and Nikhil it was apparent to me that it is these words they choose to live their life by – both being kind, thoughtful and humble humans. Nikhil on the surface seems reserved but it was apparent to me that they were in such sync that Nicole need only glance at Nikhil to know exactly what he was thinking. Nicole and Nikhil compliment in each other in a joyful and peaceful way. This was radiant back to them from their guests.
Dutchess Manor hosted Nicole and Nikhil’s wedding. Dutchess Manor is only ten minutes from my house in Cold Spring, NY. Dean and his staff at Dutchess Manor are seasoned event pros. Most of the staff at Dutchess Manor has been there for years. This continuity makes for a seamless wedding day. Also, the grounds at Dutchess Manor are perfect for quickly and easily capturing wedding day photos. Trust me, whenever you can find ways to simplify your wedding day helps. The food is also wonderful and consistent at the Dutchess Manor. However, Nicole and Nikhil brought in there own Indian caterers. Indian is my most favorite type of food, by the way.
I have never photographed an Indian ceremony before but had always wanted to. The colors are so magnificent. It was gorgeous. I also loved that it was not rushed and seeped in symbolism. Congratulations to Nikhil and Nicole!
