Chapel Restoration and Hubbard Lodge in Cold Spring, NY

I am a wedding photographer located in Cold Spring, NY. It is a special treat to photograph a local couple’s wedding. Even better when all of their wedding day happens in our community. Nina and Charlie’s wedding day started at their Garrison home. We then headed to the Chapel Restoration for their ceremony. Although I have lived in Philipstown for twenty-one years and have attended many events at the Chapel Restoration, I had never photographed a wedding there. The Chapel Restoration, a Greek Revival national landmark was built in 1933 and provides a magical backdrop for any event.

Also, I had heard of Hubbard Lodge in my town of Cold Spring having passed it driving many times but have never visited it prior to Nina and Charles’ wedding. The lodge itself was left open for guests during the cocktail hour but most settled on the back patio. It was so pretty and the lovely early evening light made it even cozier. The dinner and dancing were held in a large tent on the property. Inside were long tables decorated with earthy and elegant tablescapes – honestly, the most beautiful I have ever encountered. It all came together so well.

What a gem the Hubbard Lodge is and how well it pairs with the Chapel Restoration! I am thinking that this Cold Spring wedding photographer might just throw herself her next birthday party at the Hubbard Lodge! Thanks to Nina and Charlie for expanding my local knowledge and pulling together a fabulous Cold Spring wedding. It was an honor to be a part of it.
