Brenna and Mikey’s Wedding at Globe Hill at Ronnybrook Farm
A Ronnybrook Farm Wedding Photography at Globe Hill. A quaint farming town, a chill and happy couple on top of a hill overlooking Dutchess County! – Heck yeah, I’m in!
I immediately felt at home the first time I met Brenna and Mikey. Having grown up in small towns across the US, I felt an immediate kinship. It was also pretty clear that top in their mind was celebrating their love with family and friends. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that they did not put effort into making sure their wedding day was amazing – because they did. However, Brenna and Mike were just able to understand, in advance, that come their actual wedding day they intended to chill.
And they did. Firstly though, they needed to plant the seeds for a great event. Literally. They grew flowers in their garden for their wedding. They also devised and built a lovely wooden arch to marry beneath and sweet low benches made from bales of hay and two by fours for the guests to sit on. Large whiskey barrels were made into cocktail table and they had their own personalized fire rings. It all came together beautifully. Really. I am not sure if Mikey is handy or has a lot of good friends? I think it is both.
I have been many places in the Hudson Valley but never to Ronnybrook Farm. Being atop Globe Hill is something to experience – the views overlooking (what seems like all of) Dutchess County – in all directions – is killer. Yeah, drop the mike. However, on Mikey and Brenna’s wedding day it was foggy. At first I was disappointed but as the day progressed I was enchanted. The fog settled all around the valley and it felt like we were on an island. The fog brought a beautiful and unique ambiance that added to their wedding and hopefully their photos.
Thank you to Brenna and Mikey for being such a fun couple. It was an honor to be a part of it.
