Erika and Jordan’s late fall Rhinecliff wedding, in New York’s Hudson Valley, was both thoughtful and hysterically funny. In addition,The Rhinecliff provided a cozy atmosphere and nearby Poet’s Walk Park was a perfect backdrop for their wedding day photos.
It is evident to me that Erika and Jordan are a perfect match. No doubt, they love each other deeply. However, I was also touched by their mutual respect and care for each other. To make it even sweeter, they seem to enjoy each other’s company immensely.
Erika and Jordan’s Rhinecliff wedding ceremony was a reflection of them – both touching and downright funny.
During their Rhinecliff wedding ceremony, I was moved to tears by their thoughtfulness. In the next moment, I was laughing hysterically. The best was when a commuter train rolled past during the middle of their ceremony. Without missing a beat, Erika and Jordan paused their ceremony to wave at the train. I can only imagine the faces of the commuters looking up to see a bride and groom frantically waving at them.
I have always wanted to photograph a Rhinecliff wedding and was very excited when Erika and Jordan contacted me. I had been to The Rhinecliff before for a quick drink and always wanted to linger longer. The Rhinecliff has a cozy feel to it that makes you want to settle in. It is a great setting for a Hudson Valley wedding.
The area around The Rhinecliff is also a unique section of the Hudson Valley. Majestic landscapes and old estates cradle the Hudson River at every turn. It feels magical. For Erika and Jordan’s formal couple photos, this Hudson Valley photographer wanted to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings. Poet’s Walk Park was the perfect solution. Not only is Poet’s Walk beautiful but it is only a quick drive from the Rhinecliff. I hope that Poet’s Walk is now part of Erika and Jordan’s story and that they return again someday to walk the whole trail. Congratulations to Erika and Jordan!
