Catskills Wedding Photographer | Lauren + Stu
Lauren and Stu Catskills Wedding was both fun and charming. Their wedding day started at the Peekamoose Restaurant in Big Indian. Here they had a sweet and simple wedding ceremony on the porch followed by a sit-down luncheon reception in the main dining room. From there the wedding shifted to their old Catskill farm. Their farm included a pond and a very recently and lovingly home and barn that the two had recently remodeled. You see Lauren is a real estate project manager and Stu, an architect. Deciding to have a home wedding can be tricky, especially if you are in the process of remodeling. However, Lauren and Stu were able to pull it off and I could not think of a better place to host their Catskills Barn Wedding.
The general atmosphere was casual and loving. Friends and family gathered on their farm to play horseshoes and take a plunge in the pond. Did I mention it was the hottest day of the summer? Honestly, nobody seemed to mind.
Stu is originally from South Africa.
One of the best moments was when I heard a crowd of people singing in the barn, “I bless the rains down in Africa.” from the Toto song, “Africa”.
The song later proved ironic, as it eventually did rain. However, the rain came at the most perfect time – just in time to relieve the heat and usher everyone in the barn to dance.
It was really awesome to get to know Lauren and Stu’s and to capture their upstate wedding. They had the perfect approach to their Catskills wedding – gather the ones you love, have some fun and simply enjoy each other. That is all you need. I was honored to be a part of it as their Catskills wedding photographer. Congratulations to Lauren and Stu!
