Less Posing, More Being

There are countless options for gorgeous venues, so to help you narrow it down, here are a few of the best wedding venues in Westchester, NY!

Westchester County in the Hudson Valley is just north of New York City, and features cute towns and villages and gorgeous countryside views – so it’s the perfect place to tie the knot for couples who want a quiet getaway that’s easy to get to, but feels far away from the hustle and bustle. There are countless options for gorgeous venues, so to help you narrow it down, here are a few of the best wedding venues in Westchester, NY!
Blue Hill at Stone Barns – Tarrytown, NY
This Westchester wedding venue is an absolute dream. Set on a working farm surrounded by Pocantico Hills, Blue Hill at Stone Barns has a stunning event space for ceremonies and receptions. The exterior looks almost like a castle, with stone walls and rustic accents. Ceremonies are typically hosted outside, with the gorgeous building in the backdrop, but you can also tie the knot indoors! The HayLoft is a perfect place for a reception, with high ceilings, original stonework, and plenty of space to dance the night away. It can host up to 260 guests, so this venue is perfect for just about any couple!
Blue Hill at Stone Barns is a farm-to-table restaurant that sources up to 80% of its menu from its fields and pastures, and other local farms in the area. They’re passionate about natural, local food, and a wedding at Blue Hill means your menu is going to be customized just for you, with the best ingredients possible! This is one of the best wedding venues in Westchester, by far. In addition to the wedding linked above, here is another wedding I photographed at Blue Hill.

This historic venue is another incredible mansion, with sweeping views of the Hudson Valley. Le Chateau is a really stunning, picturesque wedding venue in Westchester County that offers an entire 25-acre estate for your day! You’ll find lush, carefully manicured gardens, sunny patios, and a backdrop of the rolling hills. The mansion itself is just as stunning, with old hand-crafted wood, exposed beams, one-of-a-kind staircases, and a feeling of grandeur and luxury. Couples typically have their ceremony outside, under one of the unique arbors and views of the Hudson Valley, then move into the elegant Grand Ballroom for the reception.

This is one of the best wedding venues in Westchester, NY, and can host up to 265 people – perfect for medium-large celebrations!
Whitby Castle – Rye, NY
One of the best wedding venues in Westchester for couples who want the ultimate fairytale is the Whitby Castle. The venue has incredible views of Long Island Sound, a perfectly manicured lawn, and a grandiose ballroom (of course!) that accommodates 250 guests. For more intimate gatherings, there are two private reception rooms. Built-in 1852, the gothic and renaissance castle gothic harkens to the English countryside whilst the interior is bright and contemporary.

Located only twenty-five miles north of New York City and 15 miles from the Westchester airport, the Tarrytown House Estate is a great central location for family and friends to gather. It is also an inedible 26-acre property that offers a multitude of locations to have a ceremony and host an incredible wedding reception. The Goosfeather Restuarant (located in the King’s Mansion) is perfect for a micro wedding. The Carriage House is also available for more intimate affairs. For larger celebrations consider the grand Biddle Mansion or the Mary Duke Ballroom for soirees for up to 350 people. The location, beauty, and diversity of spaces make this one of the best wedding venues in Westchester.
I photographed a very intimate wedding at the King’s Mansion before its recent remodel. The couple got ready in the rooms atop the King’s Mansion and then had a small ceremony on the first floor before heading over to the Stone Barns at Blue Hill for an intimate dinner in their private dining room.
