Intimate Blue Hill Stone Barns Wedding
No doubt this was incredibly stressful for many couples. Much anticipation goes into planning a wedding and then to have it all taken away? I personally think that planning a small, more intimate wedding in the meantime helps. Couples don’t have to wait to make it official and it gives them something to look forward to during a very stressful time. Harper and Ben felt the same and choose to have an intimate Blue Hill Stone Barns wedding in the meantime. When they called to see if I was able to photograph their last-minute micro wedding, I jumped at the opportunity.
This is actually the second intimate Blue Hill Stone Barns wedding I have photographed. You can see the first one here: https://christineashburnweddings.com/2020/01/20/blue-hill-at-stone-barns/
As a Hudson Valley elopement photographer, there is nothing better than an intimate Blue Hill Stone Barns wedding.
I believe in farm to table food from the Hudson Valley and elegant and simple weddings; Blue Hill at Stone Barns is the epitome of both.
The wedding was held completely outside in the Dooryard Garden adjacent to the vegetable and flower beds. It was a lunchtime affair and each guest had their own beautiful picnic baskets filled with food from the surrounding farm. It was a hot day summer day but there was ample shade to keep the guests cool when they ate and also under an open tent during the intimate wedding ceremony. Although the sun was high and bright and in the sky, I was also still able to find many beautiful places to photograph the bride and groom on the Blue Hill at Stone Barn Farms’ property.
Blue Hill at Stone Barn Farms is an incredible place to host a wedding no matter the time of day or the season – even during a pandemic.
When the 2020 pandemic hit New York, large gatherings were quickly banned. Many engaged couples were then forced to postpone their larger 2020 wedding to 2021. These two decided to postpone their larger wedding celebration and marry at an intimate Blue Hill Stone Barns Wedding instead.
