Glynwood Farm, A Hudson Valley Wedding Venue in Cold Spring, NY

Choosing a farm to table wedding venue will make your wedding feel extra special, and the food will taste extra good. With so many venues to choose from in the Catskills and Hudson Valley, it can sometimes be overwhelming to make a decision! To help you narrow it down, this guide will tell you all about why you should choose local and delve into some of the best farm to table wedding venues in the Hudson Valley and the Catskills.

Reasons to Choose a Farm to Table Wedding Venue

Before we talk about the best venues, let’s talk about why choosing farm to table wedding venues are better for you, your guests, and the environment!

Delicious Food!

The best reason to choose farm to table wedding venues are that the fresh, farm-to-table foods simply taste better! I grew up in the Bronx eating locally sourced meats from the butcher, freshly baked bread from the bakery, and fresh mozzarella from the cheese shop, so local is how I’ve always lived. It’s almost like you can taste the love and care that went into growing and raising the food – yum!

It’s Better for the Environment

Because your food has fewer miles to travel when you eat local, choosing a farm to table wedding venue is way better for the environment than imported goods because of the reduced carbon footprint. Eating locally grown foods also supports local farmers and towns they come from, helping to maintain the farmlands in the area!

In House Catering

Farm to table wedding venues have incredible food, so you won’t need to look for another vendor to provide the meals for your guests. The menus are delicious, seasonal, and you can usually see right where your food comes from, so that’s one more thing that you can check off your to-do list – phew!
