Hudson Valley Engagement Photographer

These two are getting married later this year at The Garrison and I am looking forward to being their wedding photographer.  However, this past fall we met up in my hometown of Cold Spring, NY, and wandered through the woods, across a beach, and up a cliff as their Hudson Valley engagement photographer.

Not every couple whose wedding I photograph wants an engagement session.  I know that a lot of Hudson Valley engagement photographers require engagement sessions.  These photographers state that it is important to get in front of their camera before the wedding day.  I, however, think it depends on the couple.  Some couples need that extra time to get comfortable in front of the camera.  Others do not.  The emotion is already running high on a typical wedding day and it is very easy and natural for many couples to be expressive in front of the camera. 

I, therefore, do not include engagement sessions with each wedding photo package and instead make them an ala carte option.  This way each couple can decide for themselves.  

However, if you do contact me to photograph your wedding, I do offer $100 off my Hudson Valley engagement sessions.  You can also pay full price for an engagement session and try me out, and if would like me to do your wedding photos, I will give you $100 off your wedding photography package. 

These two were super easy and fun to photograph.  They are good, kind, and down-to-earth folk – and very much in love.  I love it when two frontline workers marry each other 🙂 They also brought their dog along.  I encourage people to bring their dogs.  I just ask that you bring someone along to help handle the dog so the photo session goes more smoothly- as these two did. 

I can’t wait to capture and be a part of their late 2021 wedding.  I can’t wait to meet their family and friends and get to know these two even better. Also, The Garrison is my “home” venue.  It is where I first started photographing and I am excited to photograph there again.
