Intimate Garrison Wedding at an AirBnb

Shilpa and Tim’s intimate Garrison wedding included only their immediate family. Covid was in full swing and they knew the best way to keep everyone safe was to keep it small.  They carefully choose an Airbnb in Garrison NY with a lovely backyard as the setting for their wedding.

I immediately liked Shilpa the instant I encountered her on her wedding day. I found her mood to be both calm and excited -  if that is possible?  She just seemed sure of her commitment to Tim and ready to set out on the adventure of marriage with him. 

Tim’s sister had carefully and sweetly decorated their AirBnb for their intimate Garrison wedding the day before. Shilpa got ready with her mother in one of the bedrooms and the light was almost as gorgeous as Shilpa.  I loved Shilpa’s dress. It fit her and her personality well. Its top fabric was off white but there was pale pink in the under fabric that subtly shined through.  It was very unique.  

When it came time for the ceremony, everyone simply gathered in the backyard.  Both Tim and Shipa were beaming with joy.  There was no doubt that these two love and care deeply for each other.  There was also a wonderful lightness to their relationship. Something in the way they complement each other and bring out a lightness in each other. It was lovely to witness. 

Airbnb weddings have become more and more popular since COVID.  Larger events have been banned for the past year and couples still want to marry and celebrate with their family. I recommend Airbnb weddings to many clients wanting to escape to the Hudson Valley and have an intimate wedding with their family “pod”.  Just be sure and let your Airbnb host know that you intend to get married on their property.  Also, be sure to note if there is adequate parking for you and your guests.
