Rolling grasslands outdoors, cozy indoors done up in rich, warm hues, and three Bobs in the house - that’s what an Old Stone House Inn wedding in Warwick, NY, had in store for me! Confused? I’ll come to the fun part in a bit. But let me first introduce you to the wonderful couple that I was shooting at this lovely location - Alex and Bob.
Their wedding was such an incredible celebration of love, warmth, and all the support they received from their closest people, and I loved being a part of this fun-filled moment and documenting it in my camera. I was with this family only for a short time, about two hours. But it was time enough to get photos of the couple together, their families, and their ceremony and also to get a sense of how much these families loved each other and were happy to welcome Alex and Bob into the fold. Also, with a venue as pretty as the Old Stone Inn, I didn’t really have to go looking for striking backdrops to frame my shots - every corner was photo-worthy. The Old Stone Inn is newly opened and is such a sweet, cheerful spot.

Alex and Bob are so sweet and truly made for each other. Last year, they had reached out to me to photograph their Old Stone House Inn wedding on New Year's Eve. They wanted a small wedding ceremony with just their immediate family. It was a quiet event that enabled them to focus their time with Alex's mother, who has early-onset Alzheimer's. They had planned a larger reception for the spring of 2022. However, when the third wave of COVID-19 hit the New York area in late 2021, Alex and Bob had to move their intimate wedding ceremony to March 2022.
At the Old Stone House Inn, they had such a beautiful wedding. Their ceremony was a lovely, warm occasion. I relished being in their company and looked forward to revisiting them at their late spring reception. Their ceremony was in a snuggly, small room that was later converted into a private dining room for the couple and their guests. It was such a warm and cozy space.
Everything at this Old Stone House Inn Wedding was so elegant and warm. I was especially touched when I noticed Alex's mother shedding some tears at the end of her daughter's marriage ceremony. With her early Alzheimer's, I don't think anyone expected her to be fully aware of the glorious moment of her daughter getting married, but her moist eyes proved that she was indeed caught up in the moment. Witnessing such a heartwarming moment was moving.
Besides the ceremony, I got to witness and photograph so many other emotional moments, but that was not all about this Old Stone House Inn wedding. There was fun and laughter too! Remember the three Bobs I was talking about? So, it turns out that besides the handsome groom, there were two more sharply dressed Bobs at the celebration. The groom's father is also named Bob, and the bride's father is called Bob too! Alex, you sure are one lucky girl surrounded by three men who share the same name and love you loads!
