When Renee contacted me wanting to have a simple elopement outdoors in a natural location, I was very excited. Intimate outdoor weddings surrounded by the lush Hudson Valley - ROCK!. I even suggested a few places. However, I do admit that I was a little taken aback when she mentioned she had found the perfect spot on a Disk Golf Course in Warwick, NY! Who knew that this, The Oasis at Warwick Wedding could be so serene and magical.
Besides the bride and groom, there were just six other guests at the Oasis at Warwick wedding, making this celebration so private and lovely. Located in the Hudson Valley in the gorgeous town of Warwick, The Oasis is some 50 miles north of New York City and feels like a green paradise. The property includes a lovely green field, a pond, and a pine forest. Top it off with a very accommodating and nice owner, and the mood is set to have a blissful wedding. Oh and cue the beer - yep, a brewery, Snufftown Farm Brewery, is also in the works on-site.
The Oasis At Warwick Wedding Photography
Renee and Azzedine had first met while Renee was on a Peace Corps mission in Morocco. They planned to wed in the United States but shortly after the world shut down due to COVID, complicating the already complicated K1 Visa for Azzedine. Renee patiently waited for Azzedine to join her in the United States, When Azzedine's visa did finally come through, and he was finally able to book his flight to the US - he tested positive for COVID and had to wait another two weeks to travel. However, when they could finally make it happen, Renee and Azzedine ensured their big day was super special and memorable!
It was a sweet and simple the Oasis at Warwick wedding. There was much joy knowing that Renee and Azzedine could finally be together and start their lives as a married couple. And this made me so happy too. The bride and groom’s smiling and bright faces made my work so much easier and helped me highlight the bond of love these guys share. The groom, Azzedine, who is used to the Sahara Desert, marveled at the trees present in abundance on the aptly named wedding location, "The Oasis" at Warwick.
I loved how the Oasis at Warwick ceremony site was set in the pine woods and how the groom chose to wear a traditional Moroccan wedding tunic. Renee and Azzedine also incorporated the Moroccan tradition of eating dates and milk during their ceremony. After Azzedine and Renee were pronounced husband and wife, they kissed, but then Azzedine immediately went ahead and did a group hug with Renee's parents. Everyone, including me, totally loved this heartwarming gesture from the groom!
Renee & Azzedine, you two are such sweethearts and truly made for each other. Photographing your wedding was a pleasure, and I had fun in the company of your guests. From the venue you chose to all the other arrangements at your wedding - everything was perfect.
