This Poughkeepsie Grandview wedding was the perfect backdrop and space to hold all the love and fun at Chelsea and Casey’s celebration. I was also particularly happy when I realized that Chelsea and Casey had chosen Bill Skillz Rosborough to get people grooving on their dance floor.  He’s my favorite Hudson Valley DJ. So many fun dance nights because of Bill’s skillz.   

Because Chelsea’s connection to her Greek heritage is strong, the couple choose a greek ceremony at the cozy and ornate St. Basil’s chapel in Garrison, NY.  A Greek theme dotted Chelsea and Casey’s wedding in many other ways.  Olive branches could be found in Chelsea’s bouquet, the bridesmaid’s hair,  along the church aisles and as part of their cake and table centerpiece decorations. As my second shooter noted - Casey and Chelsea’s Poughkeepsie Grandview Wedding wedding was elegant without being stuffy.  

I knew first hand that Chelsea came from a loving family, before the wedding.  Her Uncle Rick, happens to be my boyfriend.  However, witnessing this family’s connection so closely on their wedding day was especially poignant.  There were so many tender and fun moments between Chelsea, her parents, and her three siblings. Yep, this Hudson Valley wedding photographer shed a few tears.

Casey’s friends and family were equally impressive. Casey’s groomsman’s speech was particularly heartfelt. Casey’s mother also left such an impression on me. She seemed to exude both integrity and warmth. It was a great pleasure to be in the presence of these two warm and fun families coming together.

Now knowing BOTH families, I understand more deeply how Chelsea and Casey became such great individuals and how they came to lovingly find each other.
